Position Overview

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leading provider of comprehensive fleet maintenance solutions, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain and Procurement Portfolio Director. 

 

The Portfolio Director will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing management of an enterprise-wide Inventory Control Tower. This role is responsible for ensuring real-time visibility, optimization, and governance of inventory across the network—including distribution centers, suppliers, and customer-facing operations. Acting as a central command hub, the Director will drive cross-functional alignment between Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, and Finance teams to enable data-driven decision-making, maximize invested capital, and improve service levels.

In addition, this leader will serve as the program manager for enterprise inventory initiatives, overseeing strategic projects, defining roadmaps, managing dependencies, tracking milestones, and ensuring stakeholder alignment. The Director will ensure that all initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational priorities.

 

Compensation: Competitive Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Salary Range: $115,000 -$135,000 base depending on experience and a bonus incentive plan.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and Lead Control Tower Capabilities
  • Establish a centralized inventory control tower to monitor, analyze, and manage global inventory flows, stock levels, and exceptions in real-time.
  • Lead governance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance visibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • End-to-End Visibility
  • Implement digital dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools to track KPIs such as inventory turns, days of supply, fill rate, and obsolescence across all business units.
  • Partner with IT and analytics teams to ensure data integration and system reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Parts Operations, Procurement, and Field teams to align demand forecasts with supply plans and inventory strategies.
  • Act as a liaison between business units to ensure consistent priorities and coordinated execution.
  • Program Management Leadership
  • Define and manage the program roadmap for the organization, including objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success metrics.
  • Coordinate multiple cross-functional projects under the Control Tower umbrella, ensuring integration with enterprise initiatives.
  • Facilitate governance meetings, track progress, and report status updates to executive leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, manage scope, and maintain alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support change management and stakeholder engagement to ensure adoption and long-term success of initiatives.
  • Data Governance & Standardization
  • Create and enforce standardized data structures, inventory definitions, and reporting processes across the enterprise.
  • Ensure alignment of key metrics and reporting across departments.
  • Strategic Insights
  • Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations on inventory trends, risks, and opportunities to drive business decisions.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership teams.

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, inventory management, or operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in inventory optimization, demand/supply balancing, and working capital management.
  • Strong background in analytics, with experience leveraging advanced planning systems, ERP, and BI tools.
  • Demonstrated program management experience, including delivery of enterprise-level initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with high complexity.
  • Experience with M&A integration, global supply chain networks, or control tower operations is highly desirable.
