Accountabilities:

  • Making outbound calls to set up and schedule service with customers
  • Customer service
  • Ability to build customer relationship & trust
  • Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gain
  • Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify customer needs
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Some weekend and after-hours work may be required
  • 25%-35% travel required

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must have BS/BA in business administration, sales or relevant field
  • Government Sales Managers should have a minimum of three years’ experience doing sales in the government sector, specifically on the municipal level.
  • Fleet Maintenance and automotive/fleet technical knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Must have computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word & Excel) and FMIS/Inventory systems
  • Problem analysis and resolution capability at both a strategic and operational level.
  • Discipline: a proven track record as a self-starter with adherence to company policies.
  • Strong customer orientation.
  • Government Sales Managers will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as it relates to company employees and customers.
  • Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
  • Solid organizational and people skills.
